Application of nanoparticle processing technology to healthcare and agriculture
What is nanoparticle processing technology?
TOYO VISUAL SOLUTIONS have acquired nano-particle fabrication technology as a core competency, through the development of organic pigments (crystalline particles) for color filter used in liquid crystal displays.
One of our pigment processing technologies, called salt-assisted milling, can refine particles more powerfully than conventional ball mills. The salt-assisted milling process is a method in which pigments particles, abrasives, and water-soluble solvents are mixed and mixed, and the abrasives and solvents are removed by water filtration.
With the abundant experience and methods we have cultivated, it is possible to miniaturize at the nano level while maintaining crystallinity.
We believe that this technology can be applied to active ingredients that are difficult to dissolve in water in various fields such as health foods, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and cosmetics, and we are continuing our research.
If you have a product that is concerned about solubility, we can also consider a prototype, so please contact us using the form below.

Succeeded in adding water solubility and absorption to poorly water-soluble polyphenols
In recent years, the need for health foods and supplements has expanded with the increase in health awareness. Among them, polyphenols have an antioxidant effect and are said to be effective in preventing various diseases and aging by reducing oxidative stress in cells. However, some polyphenols have low solubility in water and have problems with absorption.
Therefore, TOYO VISUAL SOLUTIONS is working on the development of products that improve water solubility and absorption by miniaturizing polyphenol particles to nano size by utilizing particle processing technology for organic colorants for color filter to increase the specific surface area.
This research made it possible to miniaturize resveratrol, a type of polyphenol, to 100 nm or less, and confirmed that its solubility and absorption in water were improved to about twice that of raw powder. The crystalline nanoparticles developed by our company are expected to be a method to improve the solubility in conventional raw powder and the problem of sustained release in non-crystalline nanoparticles.
