In the area of ethical drugs, we are developing a CDMO business specializing in transdermal patches (TDDS formulations), and are conducting contract research and contract manufacturing with many pharmaceutical companies. In other product groups as well, we are promoting the unique development of pressure sensitive adhesives, resins, adhesive tapes, etc. for the medical and healthcare fields using our core technologies of polymer synthesis technology and coatings technology. We are also deepening our collaboration with academia (academic world) and developing new technologies.

Near-infrared fluorescent probe for high-sensitivity imaging
Next-generation medical treatments such as regenerative medicine and cell medicine require unprecedented observation techniques, such as finer observation of cells and biological substances and long-term dynamic observation. At artience, we have developed a fluorescent probe that can quickly and quickly stain target substances and maintain luminescence for a long period of time, by leveraging the absorption/fluorescence wavelength control technology of colorants that we have cultivated since our founding. It has high fluorescence intensity, uniform cytoplasmic labeling, and excellent photostability, making it possible to observe finer details of living tissues such as cells. We aim to apply this technology not only to regenerative medicine but also to a wide range of fields such as biopharmaceutical screening and in vitro diagnostic systems.

Functional polymers for in vitro diagnostics
We are developing blocking agents for in vitro diagnostics and functional additives for culture media by leveraging our polymer material design and manufacturing technology developed in the electronics field, where quality requirements are high. The developed functional biopolymer has excellent lot reproducibility and long-term stability, making it possible to suppress variations in quality, which are problems unique to biological raw materials that have been used to date. In addition to blocking agents for in vitro diagnostics and protein stabilizers, it can be used in a variety of applications, including as a reagent in research fields that handle biomolecules, and in the manufacturing and storage processes of biopharmaceuticals.
