Features

It can be applied to a wide range of flexible packaging films such as PE, OPP, PET, and NY, and the desired oxygen transmission rate (OTR) can be achieved by adjusting the coating weight. With its high barrier performance (oxygen transmission rate: ≤ 1.0 ml/m²·day·atm), it contributes significantly to the mono-materialization of packaging.

Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR)

The Z307 Barrier Coating allows for adjustment of the oxygen transmission rate (OTR) based on the coating weight. At a coating weight of 0.6 g/m², an OTR of 0.5 ml/m²·day·atm can be achieved. Increasing the coating weight to 1.1 g/m² further improves the barrier performance, achieving an OTR of 0.3 ml/m²·day·atm.The use of the Z307 Anchor Coating is recommended to ensure sufficient physical properties.

* For the Z307 Barrier Coating Agent, a single print using a plate depth of 30 μm results in a coating weight of approximately 0.6 g/m², while a double print yields around 1.1 g/m².

Odor leakage prevention

In PE mono-material packaging structures, there is a risk of odor from the contents leaking to the outside. However, by using the Z307 Barrier Coating, odor leakage can be effectively prevented. It offers odor barrier performance comparable to that of aluminum foil-based packaging.

【Odor leakage test】
10 ml of test content was sealed inside the package, which was then placed inside a PE zipper bag.
After storage at room temperature for one week, a sensory odor evaluation was conducted inside the PE zipper bag.
The coating weight of the Z307 Barrier Coating t was approximately 0.9 g/m².
