This is an environmentally friendly pressure sensitive adhesives that biodegrades in a compost environment. There are two lineups: a 2-component strong adhesive type with a biodegradability of over 90%, and a 1-component low tack self-adhesive type that adheres strongly between adhesive surfaces.

What is biodegradable pressure sensitive adhesives?

  • By using biodegradable raw materials as part of pressure sensitive adhesives raw materials, pressure sensitive adhesives has achieved biodegradability, which was difficult to achieve with conventional products.
  • Our products have been confirmed to have high biodegradability in composting (high temperature and humidity) environments.
    *ISO 14855-1 (JIS K6953-1) testing is conducted by an external organization.
  • By using it in conjunction with biodegradable base materials, it is possible to achieve biodegradation of the entire product.

1-liquid, low tack, self-adhesive type

  • Biodegradation rate in a compost environment is 90% or more (theoretical value)
  • Very low tack (less sticky adhesive surface) and difficult to stick to adherends
  • Strong adhesion between adhesive surfaces possible (self-adhesive performance)
  • One-liquid specification, no curing agent or aging required
