water-based Flexographic Inks for Film Lamination AQUA LIONA™ Series
A high-performance, general-purpose water-based flexo ink for laminating. Compatible with general-purpose flexible packaging, the ink is designed with low residual solvent, high concentration, and high printing efficiency. By using a curing agent, this ink is suitable for retort printing even though it is water-based ink.

Standard process colors: F23 yellow, F121 red, R39 indigo, R92 black
Special color, density adjustment color: R235 yellow, R262 yellow, R515 vermilion, R79 grass, Z821 purple, R medium
- Product name symbols for each application: For boiling and retort applications, please use grades with the following symbols in front of each hue number.
F grade: For boiling purposes (F23 yellow, F121 red)
Z/R grade: Retort use (Z821 purple, R39 indigo, R92 black, etc.)
how to use
diluent
The basic method is dilution with water, but dilution with an alcohol/water mixed solution is also possible depending on the printing conditions.
- To prevent spoilage, please refrain from using underground water.
- Ink viscosity may decrease due to residual water inside the printing machine (pipes, chambers, etc.), so dilute the ink after circulation.
Additive
Solvent for drying adjustment
Additive 870 (Flash point: 109℃, Class 4, 3rd class petroleum)
Recommended addition amount: 1-10%
A slow-drying solvent for drying adjustment. Please use this when the ink appears to be drying on the plate surface during printing.
- The recommended addition amount varies depending on printing speed, print design, and drying capacity of the printing machine. Please note that excessive addition may lead to various printing problems due to poor drying.
drip solvent
For white ink: TW070AQ white dripping solvent (flash point: 30℃, designated flammable materials, flammable liquids)
For color ink: TW070AQ Color Drip solvent (flash point: 32℃, designated flammable materials, flammable liquids)
Recommended addition amount: 1-3% per hour (for raw ink)
Used to adjust ink viscosity. It has the effect of suppressing the decrease in the amount of alcohol content during long-term printing and stabilizing the ink condition.
Antifoaming agent
AQ Antifoaming agent 814 (Flash point: 100℃ or higher, Class 4, Class 3 petroleum)
Recommended addition amount: 0.01% (for raw ink)
- If the antifoaming effect is insufficient or does not last, add the recommended amount.
