Technology overview

We apply the material design technology for colorants and polymers, which we have cultivated mainly in the ink business, to the bioscience field, and develop unique materials that solve various problems such as aggregation, adsorption, and dyeing of biomolecules that have not been sufficient with conventional technologies.
We provide blocking agents and protein stabilizers that control protein aggregation and adsorption by applying fluorescent probes and molecularly targeted dyes that rapidly and stably stain biomolecules such as cells and exosomes using colorant design technology, and polymer technology.

Biocoloring material: Fluorescent probe

As a bio-use colorant, we are developing fluorescent probes that are ideal for in vitro and in vivo observation by combining light absorption and emission wavelength control technologies cultivated in the fields of displays and electronics with technologies to control interactions with biomolecules. These probes offer excellent fluorescence intensity, photostability, and rapid and uniform staining of target biomolecules for long-term, high-sensitivity imaging.

Bio-use polymer

As a bio-use polymer, we are developing applications in the bio-field by combining polymer synthesis technology cultivated in the electronics field and hydrophilic-hydrophobic control technology. For testing and diagnostic applications, we are developing blocking agents and protein stabilizers by controlling the interaction between polymers and plastic base materials such as medical devices, or proteins. Additionally, for cell culture applications, we are developing media supplements that control the interaction between polymers and cells to suppress clumping and increase protein production.
